Title: over £50 on nuts & bolts!

sorted a list out of nuts and bolts I need to change over to my K03s and before I knew it it had come to over £50!!

This is the list I ordered, I think my mate sorted me out some discount too so it would have probably been more!

boot light parts

4B0 971 992 (plug)
000 979 134 (wire)

Turbo swap parts

1J0 253 115 A (Turbo-DownPipe Gasket)
N 102 090 05 (nuts x 4)
056 103 377 (washers x 4)

N 013 851 4 (oil feed pipe washers x 2)
N 013 814 9 (water pipe washers x 4)

058 145 757 C (oil return Gasket)
N 014 702 13 (oil return bolts)

06A 253 039 E (turbo to manifold Gasket)
b 058 145 540 (bolts x 3)
058 145 791 (washers x 3)

058 253 039 L (manifold to head gasket)

N 908 106 01 (captive nut)

For engine mounts

N 101 559 06 (13mm bolt x 3)
N 905 969 06 (16mm bolt x 4)
N 102 096 05 (18mm bolt x 4)

at least it's all gonna be done properly  :cool:

£50!!?? blimey!!

£50 spent now though is possibly a few hundred saved should one of those old bolts fail!!

Holy inflated prices Batman!!

Just had word back from my mate, nuts and washers for the exhaust manifold come to just under £30 on their own!!

I know they are lock nuts but that's taking the p!ss!!

LIES, i got the hole lot from VW for 24!   you dont need the manifold bolts they are fine and the maifold to turbo (3nuts are fine also)

because I've just replaced the engine mounts, I should have replaced the bolts at the time but it was Good Friday

Pretty much all the nuts/bolts on the Golf are use once items

The 13 that hold the manifold on? They are lock nuts and should only be used once...

sod it, just found out about some stainless aerotight nuts, 55p each. Think I'll go for them instead  :wink:
