Title: Paintless dent repair? (Damage pics!)
Post by: Foreignbody on 14 April 2009, 16:15
Some clown has ding'ed the edge of my door . I think it's a shopping trolley "accident". I "found" it whilst washing my car . I bet you're thinking somebody's opened my door from the inside and bashed it against something but I can assure you I haven't had a rear passenger in months and I only found it recently.

I'm looking to get it fixed and am wondering if anyone has experience having something similar fixed or if somebody in the know can tell me what needs to be done? Even better, I live in Leeds so any recommended repairmen would be good.

I'm hoping I can get this fixed "paintless dent repair" style but it may not be possible where the dent is?

There is a dent ONLY on the door edge, sparing the opposite panel with no paint damage on either surface and no dent / deformity on the opposite panel (there are very very faint scuff lines on the opposite panel but not visible enough to have anything done).

Any replies are deeply appreciated!

Jas

Thanks very much difficultrogue and erb91. Your opinions are in keeping with the general PDR public! Looks like I'm screwed. It'll have to be a body shop job and hundreds of pounds. Of ALL THE BLOODY places it could have been, it had to be the door edge.

You will struggle to get that out, if anything it could look worse.
