I managed to loose a centre cap off my alloy.
Problem is I have never seen these wheels anywhere before, they have OZ racing centre caps, but am not sure if they definitely are! (the bit that says OZ racing is stuck to the metal bolt bit, I suppose its possible someone at some point could have changed it?) And yes I have managed to loose the whole thing!
Anyone seen these before?

Any ideas where to look for a centre cap? I have tried ebay - no luck
-
Have ya tried OZ Racing? or some of the big wheel suppliers?
Wouldnt want ya to look an even bigger numpty!
-
Drop these guys an email with that pic:

-
I have done that, its the only contact on the OZ site, hopefully they will know!
Has anyone come across a set like these before? I know they are pretty old though?
-
OK, just got a reply from the performance alloys people, they just said it is over 15 years old and no parts available.
So I guess from that reply it is an OZ alloy.
Anyone got any other ideas for replacing my centre cap???
-
Is it just a push on or a screw type?
-
Tis a screw on type, and the screw bit on the wheel sticks out so cant make flush caps for it
-
Do you have any idea when it came off? I don't mean the exact place obviously, but say it happened on the way to tesco or similar you could see if it's by the side of the road :undecided:
-
I will keep an eye out. where bouts.

Unfortunately it came off somewhere between Bath and Somerton!! So its rather a long way to have to look out for a centre cap!
None of this Tescos lark!

The centre caps are about 6" diameter and the nut bit in the middle is about 3.5" diameter. Biggest problem is that the thread it goes onto sticks out.

Thats a good link though, cheers bratty, I will contact him see if he can help
-
yeh send him a pic of the wheel and size etc he may have summin that fits, just might need to do a bit of a repaint :)
-
take one of the other centre caps off, find a part number then paste into google. Works more often than you'ld think.
Failing that, take a wheel off and look for manufacturers stamps or part no's. then try from them.
-
Going one stage further, why not take one of the caps off, and get a replacement machined from a lump of metal/alloy?
May not cost as much as you think.....
Just a thought :)

Will have problems getting the white centre and lettering right that way!
-
True - but it's in the right direction. :)
Maybe even an opportunity to upgrade/renovate/improve etc...
Just a thought :)

Dano - thats a good idea, do you have any sort of idea what kind of prices they would charge?
Len - the white centre is just one of those centre cap things, so would have to get 4 new ones really, tis a shame because I like the white.
-
Was the lettering I was thinking of as thats kinda their logo.
Dont ya know anyone in Augusta that could get it machined for ya?
-
I dont! no one I know is that clever unfortunately, do you?
-
I do have a mate that works in an engineering shop! But whether he could do it is another matter. Not his skill but if they had the machines to do it!
Dunno! He's Billy's mate really, who is away atm. But I could ask.
-
I see, I expect they would need one of my centre caps for sizes ect?
probably best to see if I can find a local one first, I will let you know though, cheers Len!
-
To get something like that machined and threaded, would probably cost more than a new set of wheels!
Tom
-
could you not basterdize a borbet A centre to fit :undecided: somehow....... they look kinda similar
-
I am trying to do that but with a plastic bbs centre cap and a piece of plastic!
I have now also found out that they are Rial wheels, so have been in contact with them but no luck, but as they are German wheels I have managed to find a set on german ebay!! Problem is they are for a merc so am trying to get him to sell me his centre caps!! (he only has three)
-
Good luck getting the caps Cheryl.
-
Thank you Len, am trying to use my charms! I emailed him in German and everything!
-
Was going to suggest getting my granddaughter to help out with the language! But hey you dont need it!
-
To be honest I may need it, I just wrote it in english then got it translated online, so probably sounds like a load of nonsense!
-
Well to be fair she is only 12 and has surpassed the teaching level and now finds it boring!
