Title: Front 'big' bumper adjustment
Post by: jezza16v on 14 April 2009, 09:10
Hi, is there any way of adjusting the front bumper (big) sideways a bit? Mine seems to be 5mm offset so its tight on the drivers side with a bit of a gap on the pass side. I've slackened off the 4 big bolts but there doesn't seem to be any sideways adjustment. I don't really want to take it off completely if there's nothing on the bumper itself to adjust, its a proper VAG unit btw but not original to this car.
Also found an emergency water supply in both fogs

no adjustment, either the car or the bumper is bent ;)

I had the same issue, took bumper off and gave it some hammer love on the bumper arms, did the trick

More than likely a pattern bumper too, as they seem to be larger on one side than the other.

If it's a pattern cast from an original bumper then yes, it will have the same stamps all over it.
