Title: De-imobilizing Ecu's

Would you be able to de-imobilize a Mk3 ECU? I have heard C2 can do this, wondered if you could?

Just so that then you dont have to use different keys etc, when you fit another ECU?

If the other car is complete why not just switch ring around the ign. switch and swap chips, I don't think you can de-imobilize them.

Not sure how i will be coming across all of the parts at the moment.

Will see if my mates one that is de-imobilzed works or not. If so i could switch the chips.

How hard is it to switch this ring? and does it connect back to the ecu, plug and play swap?

Mine was plugged in half way down the steering column.

I have only carried out immo mods on mk4 and 5 ecu not mk3 yet, If you can give me your ecu number I will find out what can be done to get you on the move.

Its not for the ECU in my car, basically im fitting another engine in my car, so dont want to have to change keys, ignition etc etc. Just want to get it de-imo, as i have a good alarm fitted anyway.

I will hopefully get hold of the parts in the next few weeks. So when i get it, if its ok, i will pm you the details?

Or could bring it to a show with me. Wont be fitting it for a few months yet.
