Title: Mk2 ABF 16v - Strut Brace
Post by: gavL on 13 April 2009, 20:20
Quick question. Picking up a Mk2 2.0 ABF 16v tomorrow, will an OMP Strut Brace fit over an ABF engine?

Easy quick question ;)

Cheers people.

Depends on how the engine has been put in and how the clearance issue was resolved. If they have used the MK3 subframe then you should not have a problem. If its the MK2 and they have modified the bonnet to accept the TB, then it will be very unlikely it'll fit as you just wont have the space.

Don't you also need to ask if the Audi A3 280mm brakes will fit over 15" wheels? ;)

probably not, but it depends on the design. i had to fit my eibach one backwards, cut the scuttle a bit, grind the top corner of the throttle body and remove the brake fluid level sensor to get it to fit!
