Do you know Retro VW at chorley?
Cant say he will have a cat but he is local and has all the bits and facilities, also breaks VWs and has helped me out a bit
-
Chorley?? ordo you mean Horley?
No i have not heard of them. Is there anywhere that i can get a CAT from cheap (motor factors etc etc?)

Always found these guys cheap. Used them before.
Steel - More expensive

Ceramic - Cheaper option

I paid £200 for a SPORTS CAT. not a standard one mate.

Paid about £80 for mine from GSF. Fairly easy job to do yourself, just remember to undo the oxygen sensor (lambda) before undoing the bolts.

Well i bought one today from a site called buypartsby. I noticed that it had the exactly the same layout as cats-direct and a few others. Paid £86 including VAT and delivery and a gasket/fitting kit which i didnt think was to bad.
Matey who works at a local motor factors could not even get close to that price.
Not sure if i fancy fitting it myself - hopefuly i can get a local garage to do it fairly cheap.
