i am looking to install some new suspension to try and harden up the ride on my 1.8 CL, i was wondering would i be better fitting a new set of standard springs with a set of boge gas shocks or fitting some gmax uprated gas shocks with some uprated 30mm drop gmax springs for only ?20 dearer. any help would be appreiciated.
thanks

I've got a weitec kit from C&R on my vr, very good, only 300 quid.
-
Did that give any drop '6 - coz i am after a slightly stiffer feel but only about 20mm drop?
-
25mm drop, firmer but still comfortable.
-
Sounds like it could be for me - will have to follow it up. cheers

you can get eibach springs that drop you 30mm and keep your original shocks for 130.. its about 40 to fit them..
-
?40 to fit them? if you can get them fitted that cheap, then you deffo onto a winner ;)
-
my boss just got some fitted to his chrysler cruiser for that at ATS last week :)
-
independent shocks and springs?
-
yup yup!
i pulled those figures right outta my head since i looked into the cost of doing the same thing at the end of last week :)

You found a garage that will fit 4 new springs on your mk3 golf for 40 quid, thats not even 1 hours labour :o
-
you being sarky or not? lol.. hard to tell sometimes :D
seems quite reasonable to me :)
-
No garage in the country will remove/strip/refit 4 suspension struts for ?40 on a mk3 golf.
Its at least 2 hours labour, more like 3.
Give me the name of the company and the phone number ;)

lol.. ok.. :)
