Title: will an 8j wide alloy fit on my mk3 golf gti, dropped 40mm pls help

hi does any one no wether or not a 8j wheel will got on my golf gti i have been tolf i will need to take out hte inner and outer arches i was going to run 215/35/18 tyres please help cheers gordon

will need alot of arch work to fit 18's on a mk3. ive got 8j wide on a 16' rim and they fit perfect. imo 18's on a mk3 are too big

I struggled with 17"s and a 70mm drop cannot see 18"s fitting without a lot of work plus they will look too big.

hi so you think i will be better off with 17s then or may be a nice set of 16s but 8j wide will fit on then but best not to go for a 18 cheers guys saved me alot of money cheers gordon

18 is deffo too big. so are most 17's tbh. get some 16x8 or even 16x9's
