Title: Sunroof problem
Post by: Dec on 11 April 2009, 09:51
Hey guys,

Opened my sunroof the other day on tilt (not  sliding right back) and the motor wouldnt move it back in, just clicked.

I took the motor apart so the allen key would actually wind it back but now it won't sit flush and it leaks. It doesnt sit properly wherever I move it to so im guessing I pushed it to try and close it and it move it

Any ideas where I could get it re-aligned? So pissed off with this tbh, making me have a hate for the car at the moment.

Thinking of getting it welded up.... Helllpppp!!

same happenns on mine, not too sure what it is though sorry..  i did post up myself before and im sure someone said it was the sensors though in my opinion its more to do with alignment.
could need a new sunroof as they are not really servicable parts..

Nothing to do with the sensor because ive taken the motor out! I gave it a wiggle about today so seems to fit a bit tighter on the other side now. Hopefully it won't leak :(

Its on a screw type winder and its probably missing a few cogs on the slider bit!
Dont think you can repair them.
Scrappy visit to source a good replacement.
