Post by: AdamB on 25 July 2004, 21:09: Couple of cars I recognise from VWAction this year. The Gold Cab was there, very different indeed - a bit Max Power for me, but he had a fair bit of silverware. The VWAction Show'n'shine best of show was there too, Very nice looking Bug.

Post by: mrwotto on 25 July 2004, 21:13: Wot about the mk3 tho next to the tent ;), shame some bloke lowered the by parking a TVR in the middle of the 3 golfs that was parked up near me, of which i had to jump start both due to them leaving electric cool boxes on over night :)

Post by: mrwotto on 25 July 2004, 21:24: This is one top show you have both missed, its the biggest VW show in europe, but it is mainly aircooled, but i luv me aircooled, and its not just about the cars, my missus is not that into cars, but she absolutely loved it :),we are both booking time off for next year when we go back into work tommorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bug jam was ace, must have had over 200 peeps pose for there pic with me last night as my 'craaaaiiig daaavvviiddd' out fit was so fookin good!!! should have charged em all a 5'er i reckon!!!, havent got any pics of me dressed as him till me mate emails me em but ill post em up asap. nice to meet gti89 (vaughn, as usual!!) and Gibby and len for those i didnt bump into, sorry but i really wasnt in a fit state for anything!! he he.

pics up soon peeps all 50 odd of em!!

Post by: vixteris on 26 July 2004, 13:00: hey jv, u remember the 2 yellow cabs on e bay that u posted. well thats one of them. The new owner has started the old skool look and is gonna 20vt it in a couple of months.

it would take a fair bit of work to try and get mine like that. taking off my bodykit would leave a right mess on the sides. Atleast i have some competition on the coolest yellow cab front ;) :D

I saw a ton of air-cooled dubs on friday as I drove down the M1, most of them looked really good, although one seemed to have a matt black paint effect (like a blackboard) which looked a bit odd.

My Mk2 will never get as far a show and shine, which reminds me, I must wash it soon.

And by the look of that photo u wouldnt have been in any fit state to appreciate what was there!
Mind u bout same state as me about a couple of hours earlier. (M&M's - very naughty!)

It was worth going down that end tho - the Comedy Tent was rockin!

Oh i forgot - Gaz mate the compere had a dig at the DVD's on a certain stall. oooops!

Post by: kniterider on 27 July 2004, 21:11: he he, let the compare say what he wants thats what i say!! lol, my mates made a fair few pounds and the dvd's (shrek 2, garfield and sipderman 2) were all spot on when i played em on kids dvd when i got home!!! lol, great weekend, oh yeah i forgot to mention that i bumped in 'snowball' a few times over the weekend as well as len, gti 89, gibby but no one else due to poor mobile connections etc!!! 8)

deffo has to be a golfgti.co.uk gathering at the show next year!!
