Title: 16v Exhaust
Post by: R1-Jay on 25 July 2004, 19:32

want to replace my standard unit.

Any suggestions?  i want a twin square output.

Should i go for a back box and a decat pipe or a full system?

I have got a twin magnex dtm, I know its not what u r after but its been a good replacement unit for me, i went for the front and middle pipe option, not sure about the benefits of de catting, you wud be best talking to vr6 about that

Sorry to hi-jack, but if you're standard exhaust is in good condition and in one piece, do you fancy selling it?

PM me.

Thanks

i put a standard middle box on and a golf gti 16v anniversary rr box, it does not look too bad and sounds good, and the best thing u do not have to fart about with the hangers and stuff it just goes straight on

preg 16v

Do you have pics of the anni rear box, if not what do they look like?? I am looking for something discreet and not to loud!! ;)
How much are they ? - I assume you can only get them from a dealer.

the system on my 16v anniversary will be replaced shortly with a milltek, this is genuine system and about three years old. Would anyone be interested in it.

I'd be interested in the back box if you are going to split the system. How much you want for it??

And what style is it as I can't say I've seen one, but I've heard it is slightly bigger than standard 16v with chrome finish....correct me if I'm wrong!

the system is off the car and i have taken pictures so can email if you are still interested. Ive also taken the part numbers as well.

Has anyone encountered problems with the cat when fitting an aftermarket exhaust as it now sounds as if its blowing at the front, very odd as the cat has not been touched.
