I found these chrome handles at VAG Parts:
:https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.oneandoneshop.co.uk/sess/utn153f0540cbcece7/shopdata/index.shopscript and enter 1E08982252ZZ as the order code.
Chrome (internal) door handles. ?10 + VAT.
Anyone know if they're any good and how easy are they too fit?
-
Anyone able to respond to the previous post as they look really good but it would be good to know if they are okay. They would certainly add to the interior styling in a very subtle way.

the usual thing to do here is use the handles from the mk4 cabrio as that is largely mk3. the chrome look handles are just a straight swap with the normal mk3 ones. they do look good, just depends if you can be bothered to pull your door cards off and swap them :)

Cheers for that jv presumably they are actual chrome/metal and not plastic coated door pulls? ???
-
I think they are metal, I have an email about them somewhere... I seem to remember the mk3 ones are metal and the ones you can get for the mk2 are coated plastic.

I got the chrome handles for the mk2. There very simple to fit, are actually plastic but once there on you wouldent know and they look great.
-
You couldnt let me know how to fit them could you as they dont seem to come with instructions and i'm not good at this sort of thing!
-
are they metal handles for the mk3 pimpster? ???
-
Try this site, they do loads of crome bits for Mk3's including the door handles.
Can get carried away with the credit cards though..

i just got mine from VGA parts, very good quaity chrome, nice and heavy too, well worth a tenner, vat, P+P. All i have to do now is fit em.
-
When you've fit em please let us know how you did it and if so how hard or easy it was. that would be really helpful.
-
hey Pimpster
They were real easy to fit. Once the door panel was off it was a 1 min job, did both doors in 10 mins not bad after flicking through the haynes manual to see how the panel came off. ;D A big improvement over the old tatty plastic ones.
-
Thats great, cheers mate. glad to know it easy.

Bought the handles from VAG Parts, very well made (VAG original), well worth the ?10. Fitted them without taking door cards off. Just prise off the door pull covers and use pliers to remove door handle bars, pull handle all the way open, slide out, slide new handle in, re-attach door handle bars with pliers (a bit tricky but possible). Replace covers and you?re done.
I also got Audi TT brake and clutch pedal rubbers from VAG Parts, Look great and direct replacement for golf rubbers. Accelerator pedal cover fits with a lot of persuasion!
-
Have you got the VAG part number ?
-
sorry forgot about the start
they also have the rear door ones as well for 10.00
-
adyh,
just go to http://www.vagparts.com/
click on 'shop now online!', put pedals in the quick search box it will bring up 3 different types, audi tt, 337 and R32. TT pedals are the cheapest though, ?5.14 for the clutch and brake rubbers and ?6.90 for the acc. rubber. You need to get the clutch and brake seperatly as they do fit differntly. R32 set is ?39.96 and 337 set is ?28.27.
Great mod, easy and much better than bolt on pedal extensions, rubber comes through the metal so your feet won't slip and the MOT man won't frown.
