Title: Another question (Sorry)
Post by: Daston on 08 April 2009, 13:22
Hi chaps

Yet another question from me (I have searched for the answer but couldnt find it). My throttal pedal seems very close to the floor and only has 1" of travel at the most. Now this does make gear changes a little violent lol. Would this be related to the throttal cable? Or is there another way of adjusting it?

Cheers

Dave

Good chance its related to that. First thing to do is loosen it off at the throttle body end (on the end of the intake manifold) and see if your pedal rises any higher in the car

trace the throttle cable back from the throttle body to where it goes through the bulkhead. theres a gromit type thing on the outer sleeve which should clip into the bulkhead and prevent the outer sleeve from moving about. mine is not mounted securely so every now and then mine will suffer from the opoosite problem; throttle pedal too high!
