You replaced all that but have you scanned for any faults..? and i thought ecu and fuel pump relays were numbered 30 and 167!

Ok well when i changed them on my old 16v they had 30 and 167 printed on them...i'd just double check them.

Have you cleaned your throttle body out..? also hows the condition of you vac hoses, especially the one from your throttle body to ecu..?

When I had that problem in the 2nd month of owning my car, I replaced the crank sensor amongst the stuff youve already replaced, but that was the problem on my car ...

I ALSO REPLACED & RECODED THE ECU so I dunno? last resort maybe? as its pretty expensive (cost me about £50 for a replacement ECU and another £40-£50 for re-coding at VW).

Those are their position numbers, if you look on the actual relays you should see the 30 and 167 numbers!

You could try an ECU reset by disconnecting the battery completely for 15 mins.

have you scanned the immobilisor as well?

when it cuts out do all the dash lights flash/light up like they do when you have the ignition on, or does it go dead? Does the car bump start if you lift the clutch, is it cutting out when coming to a stop or when driving?
