Title: Loss of Power

I have a MK4 GTI 125bhp which has done a lot of miles.  However recently I can be sitting at 90mph in 5th for some time and it will then suddenly lose power as if I have taken my foot off of the accelerator.  If i take my foot off and put it on again it is fine.

Any ideas

Bad Earthing?

Dirt in fuel pump?

Thanks will try that - however not being the most technical - is it easy for me to try and clean the fuel pump???

If so where could I get easy to follow instructions??
