Title: does anyone know the size of starter motor bolts????

Hi does anyone know the size or part number of the bolts that hold the starter motor on a 96 16v.

I finally got a bracket today but no bolts :cry:

If you mean the two long bolts that hold the starter motor to the engine - I wanted a new one as the thread had got damaged previously which makes it difficult to locate initially. I enquired at VW main stealers and according to them they were not available any more. Best bet -try a scrapper :sad:

Thats the information i got yesterday mate, but every scrap yard i tried yesterday only had 8v's and even the vw/audi breakers in notts dont have any :sad:
