Title: why does this happen and is there any other way of getting round it???

hi was wondering if anybody could help i have a 1.8T GTI the problem is that when i go to put an aftermarket CD player into the car my central locking does not work afterwards unless i put the original cd player back in could anybody help me overcome this problem cheers

How can a cd player affect the central locking? It can't happen :laugh:

it can happen!!! becuase it's happened to me and my brother's mk4!!  :rolleyes:

you have to re-wire the k-line on your iso wires so that an aftermarket stero does not be connected to that wire or some crap like that  :tongue:

google it you'll find some how to's
