Title: buzzing sound from brakes
Post by: coggers79 on 05 April 2009, 18:45
i have a 96 gti 16v my abs does not work which is not an issue but recently when travelling at any speed a buzzing noise occurs similar to the one if oil is low, the brake pedal hardens and the car brakes uneven, but by pressing the brake this stops buzzer and brakes are normal again. i have just had the rear brakes overhauled as the rear brakes come on first which still happens so any ideas why this happens would be great, also my radio dont work and i need a new drivers sill cover as mine has split if anyone has one in the north east.

I had a broken caliper retaining spring on front brakes which caused a buzzing noise
