Title: Given wrong price??

Phoned vw today to get a price for the black Recaro cloth trim armrest lid. Was quoted :shocked:£85!! Proceeded to put phone down rather quickly. Have read somewhere else that cloth is about £35, and leather is about £85. Will phone back on Monday, but has anyone bought one,and if so who much were you robbed for it? :wink:

i paid about £35 for a new armrest lid in the standard black cloth

looking at mine there's nowt difference between the cloth on the lid and the Recaro's i've recently fitted

I paid £85 for a leather one so I think you were given the wrong price!!! I have a cloth one in my garage... Yours for £25 posted if you want it...  :smiley:

No mate, just the lid. I used the armrest from my brothers old (written off) Mk4 but his had a cloth interior so had to buy a leather lid, hence why I have a cloth one spare :wink:

i paid £35 for mine a few weeks back from vw so yep sounds like a wrong price from the dealer for cloth one  :laugh:  :rolleyes:

I bought a genuine used armrest off E-bay last month.  The catch for the lid is slightly broken and tought I would replace it.  My local dealer quoted £45 for just the lid!  Cosidering I paid £90 for the armrest I didnt think it was worth it.

get yourself the armrest first jonny its easier to fit than the t.i.p  :laugh: :grin:
