Hi everyone:
I have just bought a MK4 1.4 to run the family round. Being an owner of a Mk2 gti 8 valve PB engine, I need some info on the little lady
When she is started, the engine turns over then stops - like the auto choke (on old models) is faulty.
If you sit and run the engine till it warms up a bit, it runs great untill you next need to start it from cold again.
I have also noticed that when the car is running OK, that the Revs have dropped to about 500, from the norm which is just below 1000.
Any ideas? Cold start sensor?
