Don't really get the ET part of wheel fitment so which of these would be a better fit on a MK3 that is lowered 60/40?
17 x 8" ET33
17 x 7" ET35
17 x 8" ET35
Also how wide are the standard longbeach alloys?

16's are the best to be honest but if you insist on 17's the 7x17 with an et35-40 to be safe. but then safe is boring so an 8x17 with a 195 tyre is much more fun. Although still not as much fun as a 9x16 with a 195 tyre.

Haven't ruled out 16's and i do like BBS RX / RXIIs but most second hand sets i've seen have been shagged and expensive, hence looking at new 17s!
-
17's are ok but I find they give an unusual feeling on motorways etc (you will find it pulls lots when the cambers of off etc!) but as said an et35 on a 7" rim will be better (especially if lowered!)
16's are the best all rounders but there's amore limited choice (and can be more expensive as tryes cost more!)

I ran 7x17 (et35) with 205/40/17's for 6mths drove fine and had no real issues with tramlining.
-
ok if it's not to be 16s then 17x7 ET35 it is then - thanks guys!

This was mine if it helps.

They were SSW Speeds in 7x17 with 205/40/17 I got them in europe as they are no longer made in 5 stud now.
