A guy at work is selling this, it is a 1988 Scirocco Scala. 149k miles no current MOT but looks in quite good condition.
Had new track rod ends, wheel bearings and stearing rack.
Just wondered how much you guys reckon it's worth as he is asking for £300, but will consider offers!!!
Good price or not?

sounds alright to me

Not without a ticket, picked up my mates's Scala, met.black, 85K for £400 :afro:
Best bet is get it MOT'd & ask more for it, also point him to http://www.sciroccoregister.co.uk/phpbb/phpBB2/login.php
He'll have to sign up but it's free & will get more interest there than anywhere else &a better price than eBay! :)
They're becoming more popular now & the Scala was the run out model with the 115bhp 1.8 injection so even more so.
Good luck to him!

Strong money with no mot.

No MOT = scrap value, unless there's something REALLY special about it.

The Scala wasn't nessessarily a run out model. The Scirocco was sold until 91/92. My mate had an E reg Scala in white with the 90bhp carb'd engine.
As suggested if he wants maximum cash for it, put it through an MOT and sell on a Scirocco forum, otherwise he'll only get peanuts.
