I honestly dont get the rat look...although my polo is most def a contender for that look atm...

It's a shame that that particular car looks like the body work was actually ok.
How would the rust-rat look on a Mk3 boney ?
-

btw any one got any 4 stud 15" steelies?????? i was gonna go 14 but i want a lower profile than 60.
-
Very different but I still don't get the rat look idea.

I've seen that car in the flesh on several occasions and personally I love it. So many people slate the ratlook and say they don't understand it, it's simply different peoples different taste, the world would be a boring place if EVERYBODY liked the same thing.
Personally I own both a ratlook mk2 and a gleaming shiny mk2 and I love them both for very different reasons.
Up with rust ;)

What the hell is so appealing about a car covered in rust?
-
Do you know.....I kind of like it and with a few extra's it would be kind of

As mentioned above!!! If it's not your thing, it's simply not your thing. I love seeing vehicles that look in a tragically bad way but are actually perfectly roadworthy and actually in good condition mechanically.
-
OK fair enough. Don't think it's something I'll ever understand.
-
Saw a sticker a while back "If I have to explain you wouldn't understand" I'm still dying to find one to put on my ratlook motor.
One of my all time favourite ratlook golfs:

taken at dubfreeze 2009, surely the rust will run onto nice clean paintwork?? :undecided:
-
Now ratting a new beetle like that is sh!te, surely it has something to do with the age and character of the motor, that guy has it all wrong

Agreed, its someone trying too hard basically.
Can picture what he was thinking now
"I want to be cool and loved by dubbers, lets rat a new beetle yea...that will be a good idea"
Whats with the dam wind up on back aswell?
-
Disagree. New Beetles are sh!te, at least that one looks slightly interesting.

have u ever driven one?? my missus has got a 2.0l new bug and i thinks its more fun to drive than my old mk4 gttdi, both have same power, derv had more torque, but the bug out handles the gold IMO and that 2.0 its well reliable. but they are a bit taky and novel, definatly for girls. i wouldnt rat one personally, they look better in illuminous yellow with flowers on them. i think ratting ne thing newer than a mk3 is a bit wank really
