Title: 9a engine questions.

Hi everyone.

Headgasket has just gone on my 91 16v and was thinking of putting a new engine in while the car was in bits. Someone has said that a 9a bottom end will fit from a corrado.

Has anyone done this and is it worth doing?? Also is it worth having the head ported cos i guess it needs skimming seen as the gaskets just gone.

Any suggestions

P.S does anyone know how to stop these f***ing messenger pop-ups other than turning it off!!!

alreet mate,

the 9a engine is a real good idea for your golf mate.

i was looking into getting this conversion done to my 16valver 2.

its a pretty straightforward job ;)

you can get the 9a from either the corrado or the passat 2.0 16v.

with a bit of modding it can be up to 160/170bhp no problems.

very good conversion to consider ;)
