yes thats correct - they tend to fail around the 60K mark or so
-
need these doing myself, the whole axle needs to be dropped
Im going to replace with the standard ones, they've done a good job lasting 90k, at £20 a side, cant really complain. Think the cupra R ones are 50 each? dont think it'll make 'that' much difference upgrading to those, could be wrong though? :undecided:

Have a look on UK MKIV's people on there have been fitting fabia Vrs bushes, meant to be very good and you can get them from AVS for about £10 each, also have front bushes on there very cheap, if you want a cheap fix. going to order mine tomorrow.

mine have gone at 84k...
ive heard if you upgrade these bushes you get a real harsh ride, so probably best to fit geniune ones... who am i to comment tho..
-
The guys who have fitted the Vrs bushes said the ride isn't to harsh, will post on here next week after i have done my wifes car
-
i got mine done about a week ago. the rear beam bushed, cost me quite a bit coz of labour. standard bushes aswell at about 59K

If you fit poly bushes then yes the ride quality will suffer but fit the fabia VRS bush or the Ibiza Cupra R bush and they are none voided rubber bushes so you won't notice any harder ride.
These fit http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1339 (http://www.vwspares.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=1339) and for £10.95 they are a bargain when the LCR ones are £40 + each
