Title: VW Fault Code 17916
Post by: tariqb on 01 April 2009, 03:30
I have the following code come up on the code reader:

17916 -Idle System Learned Value- Upper limit reached (P1508)

What does this mean - where is the problem and what needs replacing?

This fault may explain why my economy levels are so low. Any advice would be appreciated.

or it could be the air intake behind the passenger headlight or it could be the filter............

i'd start at the front of the air intake system and work backwards.............

yeah as rhyso says start from behind the headlight, should be quite easy to fix, wouls suspect the air filter itself clogged up
