I was watching starsky and hutch last night and was suprised to see a yellow kG sitting on the stage at the end. It had its "boot" filled with coke. has anyone else noticed this?
-
There's one in Kill Bill 2 too!!!! :P
-
Coca Cola or the real thing? ;) :D
-
big bags of talcum powder len ;)
i love karmann ghias, i was saving for one when i bought my '65 bug project (which was gonna be a slammed "wizard roadster" on fuch's)
another film with one in is Sneakers with robert redford, dan akroyd, ben kingsley and river phoenix RIP

i think there is a nice black karmann ghia in What Lies Beneath (Harrison Ford, Michelle Pfeiffer)
i also quite like porsche speedster cabro's.. one movie can think of is Point Break
-
a ghia came into my work a couple of months back. it was yellow and looked awesome.
-
looks like the old KG's are film stars!
-
Yea we are talking films here - knew its not the real marching powder! :D
Why does everyone love Karmanns? Count me as one as well. Have seen some really nice ones recently in Custom Car and at shows. Its on my wish list.

Doesn't Molly Ringwold drive one, in "Pretty in Pink" - its a bit beat up but still a good looking motor.
(For you young whippersnappers - Pretty in Pink is an 80's classic, like The Breakfast Club, and St Elmos Fire. Go rent it!!)
-
I've seen the breakfast club ;D

hmm not sure..
i dunno about everyone else, but i fell in love with them at RTTS the first year i went. in between the camp site newquay itself is a little bay and a beach.. it was a really nice sunny day. was coming from the rtts site down the hill towards this beach, and parked up in full pose mode on the corner of one of the side roads (parked illegally now i think about it, on the corner on the wrong side of the road.. lol) was a beautiful sparkly red soft top one.
i'm really not a fan of the ones that get smoothed and slammed (like the bernard newbury one) or those with big flames on.

Max Smart in "Get Smart!" drove a ghia in the opening credits to the cheesey 60's spy spoof series. Apparently it was some sort of publicity stunt because he never actually drove the car in any episodes.
I'll crawl back off into my nerdy little corner again now ;D

im looking forward to bug jam this weekend as there normally loads there
-
I saw that at the end too, bad ass cars!! Theres a couple round my way ;D
