Hello Mk4 guys! Im thinking of buying one of the above. Am I making a mistake? Any dodgy issues too look out for? Cheers, Harley.

No mistake thay are great cars just make sure you have service history  :wink:

The 1.8T is pretty much bullet proof ! . . . ..  . . . . .. .

Water pump (http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=111179.0) broke a few hundred miles from home and the RAC ripped him off for recovery home  :angry:

ive done the mk1 mk2 mk3 scene, ive got a mk4 1.8t now and its lush, smooth, not noisy, reliable and loads of scope for tuning, depends what ya after, i miss my mk2 g60 tho, proper hard ride, very rapid but not as nice to drive as the mk4 tho
