Are prices still cheap for 1.8ts? I've only got around the above to spend & wondering if it's possible
to get a clean turbo for this amount.
Thing is i really want a motorbike again so it's either this or the bike, i'm hoping this tho.
Cheers.

might get a early AGU with high miles for that mate but it will prob need things doing etc maybe wait and get another £700 as £3k will get u a better car (maybe even a k03s AUM!)thats been better looked after and will (prob) give less hassle later down the line
-
Cheers for the reply, could probably stretch to just over £2700 if that changes anything?
I thought they were much cheaper nowadays anyway?
-
look at cars for £3k and haggle mate £2700 should buy it, theres a difference between cheap and cheap and nice lol, £2300 wont buy u a very nice GTi turbo mate will prob be high miler/very early AGU,depends what ur after id rather wait til uve got £3k and get a nice AUM k03s, thats my opinion mate

Nice one. I'll save up a bit more then.
Do the different engine models go by the cars age?
-
Where abouts are you max?
-
South London.

Ah, bit of a distance away
Deciding whether to keep mine over next month or so, but am about 4hrs away...
-
It wouldn't be just yet anyway, maybe early June time. :(
-
Just picked up my 02 plate AUM with leather recaro's for just under £3k ,
so bargains are out there
-
If you are willing to put the miles in to find the right car and not get put off by looking at half a dozen complete nails then you will find a good one for your budget. I recently paid £2.5K for an 01Y AUM with 100k and FVWSH -lovely motor. Good luck.

Cheers for the help guys, still debating whether to get the car or bike tho. :undecided:
The car would mean i have to save till June, the bike would mean i can buy it now (although there's hardly of what i want for sale)
I miss the cosy interior & having my sound system playing. But i miss the speed of the bike. Although i'm guessing a mapped 1.8t would be just as fun.
Arghh! If i had the money it'd be the car.

If you are looking for value go for the car. I work in the motorcycle industry and there is a huge shortage of good used stock at the moment so prices are on the up, whereas cars have never been so cheap.
