just fitted a mk4 gear knob to freshen up the interior, I wouldn't advise this. had to rip it apart and make my own base to fit it on :cry: good job i'm not bad with a needle and thread, let me know what you think

Looks good! How long did it take you to do that?
next a 3.5 cab steering wheel (Mk4 look alike)?

i'll have a look for one. got to redo most of the interior.
the gear stick didn't take too long. needed something springy so it would go over the hole, so nicked the inside ring thing off the inside of an old wheel trim. Then cut it and moulded it round the hole. Ripped the gear gator apart because it came like this:

the base just was never going to fit. so then I wrapped the leather around the wire and stitched around to secure it. its not perfect but it looks alright

good work! I had to put a mk4 gear knob into a mk3, but the guy wanted to keep the silver frame and as he wanted the surround covering as well i just made the surround fit the gaiter!

Looks great and is on my to do list as i've fitted a MK4 style steering wheel :smiley:
