Title: My sweet GTI!
Post by: thrax on 21 July 2004, 19:09
Been a member for a while, and figured I should make a post.

I own a '85 GTI. I wanted an 8V this time as they are a bit easier to work on, pluss the whole insurance issue. My last Monzablue 16V pretty much ruined me insurance & parts wise.

Anyways, some info (BTW, Im Norwegian so I dont know all the English words for my mods). Brock B2 9x16, Oettinger cams, K&N, Ansa exhaust, short shift tranny, EBC Turbogroov & green stuff pads, Bilstein PSS9 coils. Probably a whole lot Ive forgot.

Part leather in the back aswell!

Anyways, some minor future plans.
Crystal clear bumper blinkers.
New tails.. thinking about G60 (Black&red)
new steering wheel. (Momo Net?)
I also like the VR front lip, atleast if they're done correct. Dunno.

Umm.. guess thats it. :)
Postitive & Negative feedback is always appreciated.

I'd loose (or carelessly take a speed hump at speed) that front 'thing'. The standard splitter looks great.

Other than that it looks awesome. :)
Good ol' K-jet  :D

Cant fault it from the outside, very smart. Some full leathers would look tasty on the inside though  :)

I kinda like the splitter, only thing that might make me drop it would be a modified VR6 lip

Hey man!
Im from a city 100km east of Oslo called Kongsvinger.
How I found the site? First time I was here was years ago, I think I found an ad in some VW mag? Then a couple months ago I did a search on "VW Golf GTI" using yahoo.co.uk :)

Oh and thanks for all the nice comments! always nice to hear!
And idea's for future mods are always appreciated
