Hi im new to the dub scene.
i was just wondering how i remove the tow bar and if i need to get a new rear bumper?
thanks dan
-
depends how it was done.
I had to take off the rear bumper copmletely and Mine was welded on so i needed a new one
-
mattneck (beavis) had one and needed a new bumper.
-
thanks for your help guys.
-
You should be able to just remove the bumper skin and fit it to a non-towbar iron.
-
I took my original tow bar bumper off and cut the tow bar bit off carefully with a grinder.
There is a slight indent in the underside of the bumper cover, but it was hardly noticable.

I had one on my GTI, when I came to remove it I found the mounting bolts had been drilled through the boot floor!

Hey danny t, I'm in serious need of a tow bar for mine, if you're anywhere near the Midlands what are the chances of a swap?
As long as you're not too prissy about it looking nice as mine's covered in Hammerite!
