ideally would like a r32, but if money can be saved i might be tempted for a gti
what's a 05 gti 5 dr leather dsg with average miles worth?
mileage of about 50k.
couple of things put me off is prices, depreciation effect from knock on effect of mk6 and the costs i read about cars of these age, cambelt, waterpump, service, dsg service and any worn items
thanks

Early GTI's are know knocking on the door of 9k. A decent spec 05 plate with 5 dr, leather and DSG in good condition should still be around 10-11k with FSH. My advice would be to ensure the car does have a full book of service stamps and has had the key services done on the DSG, cambelt change, brakes etc at the correct times. All these are indicators of a car that has generally been looked after.

I think a little less than Hurdy says especially if you were trading in... you may get a little more for the leather and DSG but I suspect it would only be a little...
Part-Ex £8.5-9K
Private £9-9.5K
Retail £9.5-10.5K
