just a simple query from an amateur
i have put an amp and speakers but the remote lead from my deck wouldnt work, so i played with it till i found the only remote for the amp i could - which was a wire coming from the ignition to the deck, now when i put my headlights on the speakers make a "thud" type noise and also buzz while driving.
please help
i will give half a packed of cheese and onion crisps and the cookie my kid left over from his school lunch.

you need to find the remote output on your headunit really, if you keep it as it is you could i asume damage either the ignition, headlight relay/loom or your speakers/sub etc.
what headunit you got dude
-
oh its there - its got a proper remote wire but it doesnt send a signal - ive used a tester on it and no signal coming out of the deck - is there anything else i can use?
-
eerrrm - you know one of my headlights has stopped workin....... bulbs fine - no power going to the positive on the plug that connects to the headlight.........

new headunit :undecided:
sounds like a bodge which hasnt worked well and you found out the hard way.
i had a problem at one point where 6x9s sort of buzzed/whined with the revs, so as i revved the engine, the noise got louder and higher. you can see what i mean. went away though.

Find a live and put a switch on it..... remember to switch it off though. Other tan that did a mates Clio and used the same as you, same reason as well......wasn't a JVC was it?
