Sorry if this is a repost, but went into Halfrauds today and all cleaning stuff is 3-for-2 including Meguiars clay kits.  Might be good way to start off your detailing kit.

try an all purpose degreaser, either Megs All Purpose Cleaner or Poorboys All Purpose Degreaser, you can use these products for loads of applications including carpet, headlining, engine bays, rubber, trim, arches etc

tip... get a spray bottle and dilute the products down to make them go further

this is a far more cost effective way of cleaning interiors that using wipes etc

poorboys... very good and versatile

megs.. represents very good value for money and will last you ages even diluted at heavy strength 4:1

really wouldnt bother with any wax from Halfords, some stock the Autoglym HD wax, but charge £40 for it. You can get it off ebay for almost half that.

I would personally go for something from the Dodo range for around £30 or perhaps one of the Poorboys Nattys range (blue is my fave due to the smell ) for around £15, or Collinite 476s, which is not as easy to use as Dodo or Poorboys but last twice as long, again for around £15.

I use Halfords for picking up cloths etc, or similar priced Autoglym stuff (can rate Fastglass & Bumpercare)

hth,

cheers,

Chris
