Only had the Gti for a week , after you go on a spirited drive, is it normal for it to smell a little inside?
-
The car definitely shouldn't smell inside!
Even when I park the car in the garage I only get a faint whiff of lingering exhaust fumes and brake discs......ahhhhh that glorious smell

I NEVER EVER 'cane' my car.
It would scratch the paintwork.

Dunno about smell but when I've had a sprint, I get a warm 'waft' through the vents, despite the fact that all the fans are off.
Have found that turning the temps to LO and turning the fan off again makes sure it doesn't happen.

turn the recirc button on it should stop fumes coming in and keep the cabin fresh

Look at the buttons near the fan controls. There's three with arrows + man and one with a circular type arrow for "recirculation"
