I have a 115PD but my brother has a MK4 with a non PD engine, My brother says its a 90bhp engine (same as my MK3) but the engine looks a fair bit diffrent to my MK3, and a heck of alot quieter! Its got a silver tdi badge, no red.
So am i correct in thinking the 90bhp and 110 are non pd and all the rest are PD?
cheers.

Cool thank you. I have another question now... well a few actually.
1. Where are the injectors on the PD engine? I cant see it (i know its totally diffrent so i presume its hidden or something)
2. Is the PD engine 16v?
Finally
3. what is the diffrence between my brothers MK4 90bhp engine and my MK3 90bhp engine? it seems to give much smoother power delivery and a lot quieter.

1) - under the rocker cover i presume :undecided:
2) - nope 8V
3) - newer and better innit  sorry - haven't got an idea i'm afraid

Cool! Injectors under the rocker cover would explain why i thought it looked like a 16v, rocker cover is a lot bigger than the older engines.
thanks for the info
