hi mate first off do a search of similar problems using search function

check your fuse box hasnt got damp ragtops do leak if not looked after, are carpets in passenger footwell damp?

if its an aftermarket radio if so remove it and check its wired correctly

you could also have a bad earth but do a search it helped me resolve most of my issues

Water Commonly comes in the bottom of the windscreen onto the fuse box or check the drain holes in the chamber at the top of the engine bay - had the same issue in my cabby  > new windscreen seal (£40 for national windscreens) sorted it out a treat

sounds liek an earthing fault, check for any loose brown wires behind dash. might be worth finding browen wire from dash cluster and splicing in a fresh earth to the chassis?  Also check the red/yel wire in the engine bay, it should be attached to a small single pin sensor on one of the water flanges on the front/side of head, if you earth it to the block the dash gauge should shoot to max. if it does that but still no reading when connected then you need a new sensor
