Ok well i have just had a quote to do a lot of work to my golf gt tdi 150. The work needed is the following....

New clutch kit

£1500.00

you thinking about remapping? if so don't put a standard clutch back in.  Instead add another £400 to my estimate

Well TJG was closest with a tad over £1400.... I thought that was not a bad price really. Dont know weather to just get the clutch done and sell it or keep it and spend the cash..... Dont know how much the cars worth, it a 2002 gt tdi 150 with cream leather heated seats, climate control, 79k on the clock, mot and tax, santa monicas and its a 5 door. No mods. It only needs a clutch but thoght i might get the full works to make it mint. Any offers on the car as it is??? I can get a clutch fitted for £400.

well when he had it on a rolling road the other week with a dodgy boost control valve on on his 190 map he made 293lbs ft torque and 188bhp   he does have a 200bhp map which i believe he's now running again

Well maybe i will keep her, do you think its worth doing the fly as its over 400 notes. The original might be ok but the garage said it might be worth replacing it anyway?

get the flywheel from GSF for approx £230 mate :afro:

worth doing it as it will be past its best and later on down the line will take out your new clutch so you will end up replacing both!

Exhaust mount has gone tits up (not a problem as Milltek is going on Saturday) and my CV gaitor has split so needs replacing. Having spoke to some of the MK5 chaps a few of them have had split gaitors, and in true VW style they wont replace it under warrenty (even though its a known common problem) as its class as wear and tear, which I spose is fair enough, but it still like to moan about it :D

Steve, that is a shocking life span for a tyre

You tight fooker ! Im having to fork out £50 for a b+b because no one else was staying, it would have cost £25 had someone else bunked up with me (which might be why no one else wanted to come :D)
