what's the most you got off sticker price from VW/ Independant/ Private buy?

My (wife's ) R32 was originally £30k in the showroom. When I went to see it, the price had been reduced to £22,750  I got it for £19,750 with 37 miles on the clock

Got £500 off my GTI from a VW dealer back in May :) (bare in mind it was £14.5 down to £14)
Still, every little helps :)

Local VW Dealer wanted 24k for a year old 9k miles ex-demo ED30 and wouldn't budge on price... I went to a Car Supermarket and bought the same car less DSG (I wasn't bothered), a year's warranty and xenons (not too bothered either - had them on a few cars but only found them to be significantly better than decent conventional bulbs on the Jag) but brand new (7 miles) for £17,300...
Got the same trade in on my Jag too...
The sales guy at the dealership didn't phone with his best and final until a day after we'd agreed that he would... when I told him what I had done he was gob-smacked... and told me that, frankly, I'd done the right thing...
Now six months and 19K miles on... I'm still happy

19k miles in 6 months??!!!!
wow!
-
Oh yes... I was hoping that it would be less... even 15K in 6 months would have been an improvement
It's my daily driver and I travel quite a bit with work... fortunately I receive a fairly generous car allowance...

I managed to get £2500 off my used GTI, from a VW dealer. I also got book price for my trade in.
I walked in armed with pages of adverts for GTIs in my price bracket. They looked at them and buckled!
