Title: No Reverse! 16v

My 16v has lost reverse! you push down and go to the far left corner but its just 1st gear. Has anybody else had this problem?

yes mate that happened me once although it wasn,t reverse gear i lost,anyway open ure bonnet and take a look at the white plastic gear linkages which are about 2 or 3 inches long at the right hand side of ure engine just behind ure gearbox.in my case one of these had split they cost about 2 quid and can be fitted in about 1 minute.hope this helps.

Im afraid it wasnt that simple. There is now a great big hole in the gear box. so im looking for a new one.
