Title: Coolent light on dash

So i picked my car up yesterday and when i went out last night it came on, i had no coolent but i got water and filled it up with that.

After about 4 hours of driving last night looked at it again and had went down a fair bit, the cars a 1.9 gt tdi

anyone got any suggestions off what could be or what?

have you checked for any signs of leaks??

also get some proper coolant into the car before you do any permanent damage!

When you say picked it up do you mean just bought it? if do Take it straight back to the garage (unless it was a private sale) and get your money back, could have overheating issues if it's been loosing coolant for a while

if it was an overheating issue then wouldnt my temperture gauge be really high?

When warmed up its sits practically on 90 halfway on the gauge

Not if there isnt any water in it, How much is it going through~?

filled it fully last night then when looked at it again had went down abt an eighth of the bottle

could b water pumper leaking as had same problem mate
