why the extra holes in the base of the box, drainage for water?

Wrong,it's to give it a deeper induction note,nothing to do with letting more air in.The dsg kit is for that.

fine, its to stop the restiction in the air flow, do it doesn't have to travel over all the bits in the box. i read it on this forum ages ago mate

I know what a smoothed air box is :laugh:,you were talking about what the drilled holes are for.As i said before,the holes are only to give it a deeper induction noise.
