nah i was on about the dished 5 spokes (yu know, those "common" ones, borbet a's). i think the A's look better than the multi spokes...

you seen that jetta featured in the latest PVW? looks nice indeed.

Im borrowing a set of Borbet A's in 16" flavour for my mot 2moz... I think they look well tasty, may have to invest on some much, much deeper ones with flat caps! Please excuse the state of the car, its still covered in dust from the workshop!

What is this CSA you speak of??

There's a blue mk2 (beauty of a car) down my road with something similar to the original ones Chuff posted, looks tidy. Next time I see it, I'll grab a picture

I wanted Borbet BS's for my mk3 but was told they are no longer made so might be worth checking.

But they would look good and be something different.

im chucking some alley cats on my 8v... as long as my bro stil wants to sell 'em to me that is. 13" x 8 all round. score.

13's do look the nuts, but they are so impractical. You have to slam the car or the look daft and you will get stuck on a pebble. Also your speedo will be well off, fuel consumption will be pants and your engine will scream for mercy at 70. They dont go over any bigger brakes than standard 8v items. A lot more cons!!

you can buy those 'minilite' style wheels up to 9" wide in 15's, but only 6" wide with the 14s

If you deal with Compomotive direct they can make most specs to order, I looked at getting 8x15's for mine.

Hahaha yeah there are a few cons, if i got some 13"'s they'd probably only be used every now and again. has anyone ever tried those diamond racing wheels? some of them come in silly wide sizes!

Why don't you give Swanzea a ring about them borbets he's selling for £200?, the tyres are almost new aparently, so if the tyres are worth say £30 each you got yourself a set of borbets for £80, and spend whatever to repair the dinked one. Ask Cookiemonster to go have a look see at them (as he lives near him).

It can't be that badly dinked because I grabbed the coilovers off the car yesterday, and they look about a month old, and are all perfectly straight.

Sounds like a plan Chuffster! Would transform your car mate and with rubber chucked in too, bargin!
