hi all
why are the damned seats in the GTI so low! normally I wouldnt mind, but I want to put an amp under, and it's just not roomy enough, maybe near the passenger footwell area I will try. But I know that someone will kick it when sitting there.
grrrrr!
-
have you looked at Genesis amps? They're very low profile.....
-
i wouldnt fancy fitting an amp under the seat due to the HEAT
-
Plus it's managing the wires as well, making sure they are out of sight. You're better off putting it in the boot.
-
I wouldnt put them under the seats, seems a very very common fault on the golfs is the rear like seals leaking and all the rain water runs under the rear seats. Could make for great heated seats though, put them under the front seats
-
Is there enough space to mount an amp under the glove box? I know there's enough room in a Polo.....
-
i originally tried to fit it under either of the front two seats, but the amp is to deep.
-
boot it is then
-
I tried also, passenger side was fine on my mk2, however the drivers has too many obstructions. I have a board covered in fabric fixed to the back of the rear seats. The board slides under the metal tubes running vertically and the amps screw to the board.

Sorry for the delay, too busy cleaning the car for Santa Pod here they are.
Its basically ply wood covered in fabric, slipped under the seat back.
