Title: ev engine 2l bottom end

sorry about this but am takin my golf of the road  and goin to put the 2l bottom end in, i have ev engine .. what it is i was wondering dose a mk3 go straight in ?an what about the dizzy as mine go;s into  the the block not on the head ........ an do i need a mk3 gear box and flywheel  a head gasket an do i use my drive shafts thanks

any mk3 2.0 8v block will do you, but you want a TSR dizzy adaptor kit. you have an adaptor ring + different dizzy gear to allow you to fit your old dizzy to the 2.0 block. apart from that pretty much plug & play

can be a nightmare, gotts punch out  a pin then the dizzy pops off. if you get a new pin you can drill out the old one worst case.

thanks mate can't find a tsr adaptor kit looks like a puttin a 1.8 bottom end back in  :undecided:

They do have them mate, i just got one myself about a month ago for a 3a engine, they're a bit pricey i think as anyone with acces to a lathe could turn the ring out but at least you'll know they're the right dimensions etc.  Have a look here:
