hmm interesting....what other parts ould I need to get them on my ED30 anyone??
-
They look like they've been abused!
-
Surface rust aside they look in pretty good condition actually, a lot better than the ones i've just taken off mine.
-
He may have some S3 Brakes there too, take a look at the bottom left of the pic.
Could be S3 or another similar caliper.
-
could you fit 2 brakes to a disk???
Might sound stupid.. but it would work i tell you!!!

They are good the brakes! My mums GTI ones are abit easy to give up, still good none the less!

Evening all, lets straighten the record.
R32/S3/Cupra brakes will fit the front, they are plug and play. As long as you buy the hoses! The hoses are different. Splash guards are bigger too.
The S3/R32 rears will also fit, and are evn more plug and play! The hoses and all other bits are the same. The only differnce on the rears are the guards. They will not fit. I used my old guards, and gently bent them out of the way.
In both cases you do need to buy the correct carriers, as in if you are buying R32 brakes from the bay, make sure they come complete with the carriers.
The only pain in the aris was the fact I to take the centre console out, to release the handbrake, and to adjust it back up post new calipers.

Please ignore the hacksaw, i had been trying to get the S3 guard to fit. And to get the Ed 30 on off you have to cut a strip off, or take the hub off.

Handbrake sorted.

Not sure what they are worth myself.
How much did you pay for the S3 setup stoke, if you dont mind me asking?
-

I got all 4 hubs including all the brakes for £430. They came off a very well written off S3, I had to help take them off as well!
The car had been on its roof, and was fooked! Bloke wanted £600, but bartered him down. I got all parts, all bolts, hoses, clips, ABS sensors, bearings etc.
I now have 4 S3 hubs for sale!
I had to have the front calipers powder coated, due to the face of one being scraped where the car had been stored on its side.
The coating cost me £25 cash for the pair. Well happy, they do make a difference. Having the slightly larger discs on the rear, 310 versus 286, when braking heavy, you can feel the rear tugging as well, and braking nice and flat.
