Title: Tapping noise staying constant :)

When i start up my VR6 the tapping noise that should go after 2 seconds is'nt going away :(
It happened about 2 -3 months ago so i changed the oil and all was fine but now its reappeared and the oil level seems fine.
Whats wrong with my baby ??

Just hit 91 k and has got FSH so been looked after

Probably worn tappets.
But could be worn chain guide or tensioner.

Is it deffo a tapping noise? not a rattling noise?

Whats the cost if its tappets m8 ?
I cant understand y it comes all of a sudden then goes next day

Try using flusher and changing the oil again.
or bring it to me  ;)

O and its only a single constant tapping not how can i say a numerous amount of tapping (i.e 1 tappet not say 6)

Im in Leicester so bit of a trek m8 but big thnxs for ya help and offer to take a look :)
Ill take it to the local VW specialist tmrw and see what they say

By the way how many tappets has the VR6 got ?

It has got 12 tappets.
