Title: mk4 passat turbo 2001
Post by: simon82 on 18 March 2009, 14:22
hi, i am new to modifying vws. i would any help and any suggestions on how to modify my 2001 passat turbo (petrol). its currently running a k&n 57i induction kit and i think some sort of forge dump valve but i dont know whats best to do next  so if anyone has any suggestions or views on what to do then please please tell me as i'm stumped. i suppose the big question is do i carry on the engine or get wheels, suspension, turbo or exhaust next. what companies are best or reliable? if anyone has any pictures of passats in the uk ( as i have seen the ones in the united states and all though they are good they are not to my taste as theyre all too low for our roads) then i would be greatful if i could see them. simon

Seeing as you have an induction kit and uprated the dumb valve your best bet is to get a remap.

There are many companies that offer remaps, head on over to the remap section and have a look. Our resident remap company that many people have used (including myself) are R-Tech (http://www.r-techpower.co.uk/) who sponsor that section and are very good :)

Welcome to the site aswell
